May of 2023 marked the 10th anniversary year of the opening of the Aquatic Center and the Board of Directors for Mission Valley Aquatics and Fitness passed a resolution for a $1,000,000 fund-raising campaign to ensure sustainability for the next 10 years and meet the upcoming maintenance and operations issues.

The resolution started with a goal at 10 donors to make $10,000 yearly donation for 10 years or preferably $100,000 up-front. When 70% of the goal was reached, the focus changed to finding 50 donors who would contribute $1,000 a year for 10 years. Now with the Network for Good software, MVA is able to track and manage pledges more effectively for the smaller amounts that are needed for the next phase of the campaign. Please consider making a multi-year pledge of any amount you are comfortable with choosing monthly or annually options that can be charged on a debit or credit card or a check mailed.

If enough donors are found, a Capital Projects fund will be established to expand the facility to better serve the health needs of the community. Early ideas include a multi-purpose gym, steam & sauna rooms, and entry level pool. Various funding techniques are available.

At its core, the facility is community-minded and aims to be accessible to all age ranges, fitness levels, and income levels in the Mission Valley in having a state-of-the art aquatic center with innovative programs and a highly trained, passionate staff.
